Banned by someone because of missed SHIFT+S (just once)

Hi racers and server administrators.
In short, I just got banned (for 12 hour) just because i didn't press the SHIFT + S in time after I spin (because i was pushed in the grass).

TL;TR
I write this thread, because obviously its not fair for the player to be BANNED, because he just made a mistake (a mistake because of mouse or PC lag or just a missed key).
I'm not an administrator, but i think the ban option should be accessible only from the server administrators (if it is possible by the game) in order to avoid such situations, because everyone can hit the BAN button...
I believe that I'm not the first and I shouldn't be the last player banned in such way.

So, I'll wait for the ban to expire because my willingness to play in the next 12 hours is gone, but i want to understand what you can do in order to avoid such situations (if it is possible or if you care enough about).

Voting is enabled because there are times when our admins are not on the server. When troll/crasher joins during that time, the voting usually works fine and he gets booted quickly.

We are also aware the abusing of the votes. We have banned lots of guys who join usually with a small group and then abuse the votes.

Your case is example of the unfortunate cons of the system. If same happens in future, please report and we will check in more detail.

Hopefully il be online more often soon, so hope to eliminate as much of the abuse of the vote system. If you do come of the track or crash its usually best to shift + S when on shorter lap races, unless there's no-one that is close by or no-one is approaching.

Maybe if there are a lot of such cases and it is actually a common problem, the system should be changed in a way to avoid exploits. If it is not possible on the server side, i think a considered suggestion can be made to the LFS team.

The general rule is and always has been in my 11 years here that if you crash then either Shift + s or Shift + P. The rule may and usually is different on Event races as they involve races over many laps. 

A Ban for this happening once is a little heavy, at the very most a kick is more sufficient. If a team member is online they can use !spec lfswname to spectate someone that has not followed the rule.
